What is U-POPP?
U-POPP is a card-less loyalty programme that rewards our loyal members with the “Power of Purchase” when they make purchases at the Participating Merchants across any of the following 3 UOL malls:
- KINEX (11 Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore 437157) www.kinex.com.sg;
- United Square (101 Thomson Road, Singapore 307591) www.unitedsquare.com.sg; and
- Velocity@Novena Square (238 Thomson Road, Singapore 307683) www.velocitynovena.com,
(collectively, the “Participating Malls”).
Shoppers who have signed up as a member can earn POPPoints which can be exchanged with rewards such as Vouchers or promotional gifts.
How do I apply to become a member?

Upon successful registration, members can submit their receipts at respective Participating Malls’ Customer Service Counter, U-POPP Mobile App or as otherwise permitted by us from time to time, to earn POPPoints.
What are the application requirements to sign up as a U-POPP member?
Open to anyone aged 18 years and above at the time of application. Mobile phone and date of birth will be required during registration.
Is there a membership fee?
It is free. No membership fee required.
Do I have to activate my membership?
Yes. To activate simply shop and spend a minimum of S$20 on eligible transactions (refer to 'What type of transactions qualify as Eligible Transactions?' under 'POPPoints Accumulation & Expiry') in a single receipt at any participating merchant across the participating malls and submit the receipt at the respective participating mall’s Customer Service Counter, the U-POPP Mobile App or as otherwise permitted by us from time to time.
Does the U-POPP Membership expire?
The U-POPP Membership does not expire unless the U-POPP membership is terminated or suspended.
Is the U-POPP Membership transferable?
The U-POPP Membership is non-transferable.
What are the benefits and privileges for U-POPP members?
Members can exchange their accumulated POPPoints with rewards such as UOL e-Vouchers, carpark rebates, promotional gifts, exclusive deals from Participating Merchants and partners, and special invites to events in U-POPP Mobile App, under “Rewards Catalogue”.
How do I accumulate POPPoints?
Simply spend a minimum of S$20 on Eligible Transactions in a single receipt at any Participating Merchant across the Participating Malls and submit it at the respective Participating Mall’s Customer Service Counter, via the U-POPP Mobile App (from March 2019) or as otherwise permitted by us from time to time, to earn POPPoints.
POPPoints are awarded based on the TOTAL amount printed on Participating Merchants’ receipts.
What is the minimum amount needed in a single receipt to earn POPPoints?
A minimum spending of S$20 on Eligible Transactions is required in a single receipt to earn POPPoints.
What are POPPoints conversion rates?
For every S$1 spent, members will be entitled to 1 POPPoint.
For every S$5 spent at enrichment centres or supermarkets, members will be entitled to 1 POPPoint.
Only dollar amount will be taken into account.
Birthday rewards – Members will earn double POPPoints on the first receipt submitted by the member during his / her birthday month (up to a maximum of 2,000 points)
POPPoints are awarded per receipt based on the total amount after deduction of discounts at the Participating Merchant.
How many receipts can I submit in a day?
Maximum of 10 receipts (whether at a Customer Service Counter or via the U-POPP Mobile App) per member per day.
What is the maximum amount of POPPoints that I can earn in a day?
Members can accumulate up to a maximum of 1,000 POPPoints per day, unless stated otherwise.
Is there a time limit for receipt submission upon purchase?
All receipts have to be submitted no later than:
- 9.30 pm on the day after the date of issuance of the receipt, if submitted at a Customer Service Counter; or
- 11.59 pm on the day after the date of issuance of the receipt, if submitted via the U-POPP Mobile App.
For example: For a purchase made on 1st April 2019, receipts must be submitted no later than 2nd April 2019, 9.30 pm at a Customer Service Counter or 11.59 pm via the U-POPP Mobile App.
What if I forget to scan my receipts on the day of purchase?
Members must upload their receipts not later than the next day of purchase in order to earn POPPoints. Overdue receipts will not be qualified to earn POPPoints.
How can I submit my receipts?
You can submit your receipts at the respective Participating Mall’s Customer Service Counter, via U-POPP Mobile App or as otherwise permitted by us from time to time.

Do I need to retain my receipt(s) even after submission?
Kindly retain your receipt(s) after submission for at least 7 days from the purchase date stated on the receipt(s). Receipt(s) might be requested for random checks or required for re-submission in lieu of errors or missing details by U-POPP Customer Service.
Can I shop at a participating mall and submit the receipts in another participating mall’s Customer Service Counter?
No. For example, if you have spent at Velocity@Novena Square, you will need to submit the receipts at Velocity’s Customer Service Counter.
What should I do if I wish to redeem a promotion gift and accumulate POPPoints?
Redemption of gift and POPPoints can only be done over Customer Service Counter. If the receipt has been submitted via U-POPP Mobile App for POPPoints accumulation, it will not be eligible for any promotion gift.
If I have receipts that are given to me, can I use it to earn POPPoints?
No, receipts should be issued from member’s own purchases. Should any members be found using receipts other than their own purchases to accumulate POPPoints, we reserve the right to terminate their U-POPP Membership without prior notice.
I am a staff/promoter working in a store in UOL Mall. Can I use my store’s receipt to accumulate POPPoints and redeem UOL e-Voucher?
For any staff/promoter, you are not allowed to use your store’s receipt to accumulate POPPoints and redeem UOL e-Voucher.
Should any staff/promoter be found using receipts from the store to accumulate POPPoints and redeem UOL e-Voucher, we reserve the right to void -
(i) POPPoints accumulated
(ii) Any redeemed and unused UOL e-Voucher(s)
(iii) Collect back in cash any used UOL e-Voucher(s)
If I am a U-POPP member, can another shopper use the receipt for redemption of gift and I accumulate POPPoints separately?
Receipt is applicable for one-time redemption only, and receipt should be issued from member’s own purchases. If gift has been redeemed, the same receipt cannot be used to accumulate POPPoints for another account.
Which of the merchants qualify for POPPoints accumulation?
All Participating Merchants with original printed receipts or tax invoices within the Participating Malls qualify for POPPoints accumulation, except for the following:
- Money exchangers, bank and ATM;
- Merchants operating at atrium roadshows and/or as pop-up stores, kiosks or pushcarts;
- Laundry, medical and dental clinics;
- Any other merchant which we may, from time to time, specify at our unfettered discretion.
Please also note the types of transactions that qualify as “Eligible Transactions”.
What type of transactions qualify as Eligible Transactions?
Transactions with nett purchase value of at least S$20 (after deduction of any discounts) in a single receipt in-store at any Participating Merchant save that the following shall not qualify as “Eligible Transactions”:
- Sale of tobacco products;
- Cash cards and stored value cards top-up transactions;
- Purchase of gift vouchers;
- Online purchases and bill payments (including purchases and transactions made via AXS and SAM stations); and
- Any other product which we may, from time to time, specify at our unfettered discretion.
Are handwritten or duplicated receipts accepted for POPPoints accumulation?
No, handwritten or duplicated receipts are not accepted.
Are Credit card / Nets charge slips accepted for POPPoints accumulation?
No. Charge slips are not accepted.
Are third party receipts accepted for POPPoints accumulation?
No. Third party receipts (i.e. receipts that are not from any Participating Merchant) and receipts for payments to Participating Merchants which have been issued or provided via any mobile payment platform/application (e.g. FavePay, GrabPay) will not be accepted.
Can I use receipts from purchases I made the day before I joined the loyalty programme?
No. Receipts from purchases must be from the day you sign up as a U-POPP member.
What is the validity of my POPPoints? What happens to my POPPoints earned in the current year after 31 December?
POPPoints earned in a calendar year will expire on 31st December of the year the POPPoint was earned. However, members are given an additional 3 months´ grace period till 31st March of the following year to redeem the POPPoints.
UOL Retail Management may amend the validity period and the grace period of POPPoints from time to time and POPPoints not redeemed by the expiry date shall automatically expire.
Can I continue to use my current membership to earn POPPoints in the following year?
Members can continue to spend and accumulate POPPoints as long as their U-POPP Membership is valid.

How long does it take for POPPoints to be credited into my account?
Receipts submitted by a member at a Customer Service Counter will have the POPPoints credited instantly to his/her U-POPP Membership.
For receipts submitted via U-POPP Mobile App, the POPPoints will be credited within five working days.
What is the minimum number of POPPoints required for redemption?
Members may redeem POPPoints for:
- UOL e-vouchers in blocks of 1,000 POPPoints and at a rate of 1,000 POPPoints for S$5 worth of UOL e-vouchers via the Customer Service Counter in person or U-POPP Mobile App.
- Carpark rebates in blocks of 500 POPPoints and at a rate of 500 POPPoints for S$2.50 carpark rebate via U-POPP Mobile App.
- Special deals by participating merchants / partners at a rate that is stated on the rewards catalogue via U-POPP Mobile App.
Can I transfer my POPPoints to another member?
Transferring of POPPoints is not allowed between members.
Can I combine the POPPoints earned in the previous year with the current year’s POPPoints for redemption purpose?
POPPoints earned in the previous year are given an extension of three months to be utilized. Unexpired POPPoints can be used in conjunction with POPPoints earned in the current year to redeem Vouchers or promotional gifts within the first three months.
Can I authorize my family member / spouse to redeem a promotional gift and / or gift with purchase exchanged using POPPoints on behalf of me?
No, members have to redeem promotional gift and/ or gift with purchase personally at the respective Participating Mall’s Customer Service Counter.
How do I update on any change of my personal particulars and contact preferences?
Members may update their personal particulars (including the vehicle IU numbers registered with us) via the following platforms:
- the Online Platform (www.upopp.com.sg)
- the Customer Service Counters located at:
KINEX, Level 2
United Square, Level 1
Velocity@Novena Square, Level 1
- U-POPP Mobile App (Available in Google Play or App Store)
However, for changes in mobile phone number and/or date of birth, kindly proceed to any Customer Service Counter. Members will be required to present his/her photo identity card and a proof of change in mobile phone number.
What if I forget my login details?
Members can click on the “Forgot Password” link for a reset password instruction email to be sent across to the registered email address.
Members who do not have a registered email address will have to proceed to any Customer Service Counter to update their email address to receive reset password instructions.

What is the number of POPPoints required for an UOL e-Voucher redemption?
1,000 POPPoints is required to redeem a S$5 UOL e-Voucher.

How do I use the e-Voucher?
Shoppers are required to download the U-POPP Mobile App and sign up as a member to utilise the e-Voucher. Registration is free. Refer to 6.2 for download instructions.
After redemption or activation of gift card, e-Voucher can be found in the member’s account under 'My e-Vouchers' on the U-POPP Mobile App. Members will need to inform participating retailer before utilising the voucher. Once member click to utilise the e-Voucher, member will be prompted to scan a designated merchant QR code or key in merchant code provided by the retailer. There is a time limit of 2 minutes to utilise the voucher. Do only click to utilise upon payment at the counter. Any voucher that is not processed within the 2 minutes’ window is deemed as utilised.
Which are the UOL Malls I can utilize the e-Voucher at?
Members may utilize their e-Voucher at any of the three UOL Malls – KINEX, United Square and Velocity@Novena Square, unless stated otherwise.
Will I be able to use physical gift vouchers instead?
There will no longer be the sale of physical gift vouchers from 1 March 2019. However, you can purchase the physical gift card and activate the e-Vouchers via the U-POPP Mobile App. Purchase of physical gift card can be done at the respective malls’ Customer Service Counters.
Is e-Voucher transferrable or exchangeable for cash?
E-Voucher is non-transferrable and non-exchangeable for cash.
Is there a max value of e-Vouchers to be kept in my account?
The aggregate value of UOL e-Vouchers held in a person’s account shall not at any time exceed S$950.
Can I extend the expiry date of the e-Voucher?
All redeemed e-Vouchers are only valid up to the stated date and strictly non-extendable. Upon expiry, e-Voucher will automatically be forfeited without compensation to the member.
What is the maximum number of e-Vouchers I can use at any one point?
E-Vouchers can be stacked, there is no limit to the usage of redeemed e-Vouchers at any one point.
Will I get a refund if the goods and services is below the value of the e-Voucher?
There shall be no refunds should the e-Vouchers be tendered as payment for goods and services fall below the value of the denomination stated.
Will I be able to use the e-Voucher if the goods and services exceed the value of the e-Voucher?
In the case where the e-Vouchers are tendered as part payment for goods and services exceeding the value of the denomination, you are required to top up with cash, or other payment methods.
Where can the e-Voucher be used at?
E-Voucher can be used at all Participating Merchants, up to Management’s sole discretion to add, modify, or remove any Participating Merchant from time to time, except the following:
- Medical Centre
- Dental Clinic
- Money Exchanger
- Atrium/Push Cart sales
- Laundry Services

How do I activate the e-Voucher from the gift card?
Shoppers are required to download the U-POPP Mobile App and register as a U-POPP member in order to activate the e-Voucher from the gift card. Registration is FREE. Please find details of activation procedures here.

Will I be able to use the physical gift card?
Shoppers will not be allowed to use the physical gift card as it does not contain any value. Shoppers are required to download the U-POPP Mobile App and activate the e-Voucher into their e-wallet before usage.
Can I replace the gift card if its lost, defaced or damaged?
Gift card cannot be replaced upon issuance in good order.
Can I request for extension of the gift card if I have missed the activation date?
Gift card must be activated before the stated expiry date. Strictly no extension.
What is the number of POPPoints required for carpark rebates?
500 POPPoints is required to redeem for S$2.50 carpark rebates.

Which are the UOL Malls I can utilize the carpark rebates at?

How do I use the carpark rebates?
After exchanging for carpark rebates, the carpark rebates will be credited into the member’s account within 15 minutes. Members are reminded to remove their stored-value card in the IU before exit, value of carpark rebates will be deducted automatically upon exit. For any additional amount to be paid, it will be deducted via a stored-value card inserted in your IU.
How many IUs can I have in my account?
Members can have two IUs saved in the account. However, there will only be one active IU at any one point in time.
Can I have the same IU in different members' account?
Yes, you may have the same IU in different members' account but do note that the same IU can only be active in one member's account at any one point in time. If there are two accounts with the same active IU, the system will only register the first member’s IU details.
Where can I find my IU Number?
The IU number is a 10-digit number found on every IU. The exact location of the IU number various according to the model of the IU unit. If your IU number is missing, you can retrieve it from your online vehicle log card here.
How do I update or change my IU Number?
For any changes, you can log on to your profile on the mobile app.
I keyed in a wrong IU number. Can I re-key in the correct IU Number?
For any changes to the IU Number, you can log on to your mobile app.
What is the maximum amount of carpark rebates I can use at any one time?
A maximum of S$5.00 per exit can be used at any one time.
Are carpark rebates transferrable?
Carpark rebates are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Can I extend the usage period of the carpark rebates?
Carpark rebates will have an expiry date of 31 Dec and are strictly non-extendable.
Will I be able to refund carpark rebates back to POPPoints if they are not used?
Once redemption of POPPoints to carpark rebates are made, they are non-reversible and non-refundable.
